How does it work?

1.
1.

Psychiatric Evaluation (Initial Visit)

Your initial evaluation appointment is designed to help you discuss your questions and concerns in a confidential, understanding, and professional environment. Becky will share the ways Journey can partner with you as you determine your path. She will ask questions to help facilitate the conversation and listen carefully as you respond. At the end of the evaluation, time is given for collaboration in designing a treatment plan that will help address your needs and concerns with the goal of providing the best support for this phase of YOUR journey. Please allow up to 75 minutes for this visit.

2.
1.

Medication Management

Our medication management appointment is a 15-25 minute visit. During this visit we will evaluate the efficacy and continued need for the treatment plan established during our initial evaluation. Time is provided for you to ask questions and discuss any concerns. Becky will order testing, such as laboratory blood and/or urine tests appropriate to the condition or medication(s) prescribed. Referrals will be provided, as needed, for neuropsychological testing or consultation with another physician/provider/therapist.

Medication Management Plus

This 45-minute appointment is designed to provide the benefits of our medication management visit with the added space to dialogue about life's dilemmas. While this is not a replacement for traditional therapy, many patients find this extended visit helpful when facing life’s challenges. You can expect a calm and relaxed conversation where your voice and perspectives are heard; as well as counsel, advice, support, and encouragement. Clients note Becky’s relational and conversational style while drawing on her years of experience and education.

Gene Testing

In partnership with GeneSight, Journey Health & Wellness is pleased to offer our patients pharmacogenomic testing.  Most insurance companies cover this testing, specifics depend on your individual plan (deductibles, co-insurance, etc.) GeneSight can provide you with the specific CPT codes if you would like to call your insurance company directly.  The self-pay cost for GeneSight testing is currently $330.  You may also utilize the cost estimator on GeneSight’s website here.

Sleep Solutions

Good sleep is essential for maintaining mental health. It helps regulate mood, improve concentration, and build emotional resilience. Without enough restorative sleep, symptoms of anxiety, depression, and irritability often worsen, making it harder to cope with everyday stress. In fact, individuals with a mental health diagnosis are twice as likely to experience Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)—even at a normal body weight. At TrueNorth Psychiatric, we’ve partnered with Virtuox Cardio Sleep Solutions to offer convenient in-home sleep studies, allowing us to screen for OSA and other sleep disorders. If you're struggling with nightmares, insomnia, or other sleep-related concerns, be sure to bring it up during your visit. We may be able to adjust your treatment plan to help you get the rest your mind and body need.

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

At Journey Health & Wellness, we recognize the challenges of overcoming opioid addiction and are dedicated to providing effective, compassionate care. We offer Suboxone (buprenorphine and naloxone) as part of an individualized treatment plan for opioid use disorder. Suboxone works by reducing cravings and withdrawal symptoms, helping individuals regain stability and focus on their recovery journey. Our approach combines medication-assisted treatment with personalized support, addressing the unique needs of each patient. If you are struggling with addiction we can help as a confidential and discrete place to begin or continue buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone) treatment.
